The 2026 Mazda3 Sedan is an ultra-sporty auto that makes every trip a fun one. The newest model doesn’t, however, offer a Carbon Turbo trim as in previous years. Colonial Mazda explains why and goes over some worthy alternatives.
Simplified Lineup
Mazda is all about simplification. It is renowned for uncomplicated parts and systems, which helps ensure its models stay reliable and have long lifespans.
Now, the company has applied this sentiment to the 2026 Mazda3 Sedan. To keep things simple, the Carbon Turbo trim has been removed. This doesn’t mean, however, that you can’t get a carbon-styled trim or a turbo engine, as you’ll see below.
Five Trim Levels
Even without the Carbon Turbo, the 2026 Mazda3 Sedan has several great trims to choose from, and here are some of the highlights of each.
MAZDA3 2.5 S
For a base model, the Mazda3 2.5 S comes with quite a bit. This includes wired Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, an eight-speaker stereo, and push-button start. Smart Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Lane-Keeping Assist are a few of the built-in safety features.
MAZDA3 2.5 S Select Sport
This trim swaps out the standard cloth upholstery for synthetic leather. In addition, it adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and advanced keyless entry.
MAZDA3 2.5 S Preferred
The front seats in the S Preferred trim are power-adjustable and heated.
MAZDA3 2.5 S Carbon Edition
If you wanted the Carbon Turbo trim because of its slick styling, the Carbon Edition will be a fine replacement. It comes with a gloss-Black grille, Black side mirrors, and Black Metallic wheels. Wireless smartphone connectivity is also standard.
MAZDA3 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus
This is the trim you’ll want to get that turbocharged engine. It also adds a 360-degree surround-view camera system and front and rear parking sensors.
