MAZDA’s U.S. Footprint
Mazda was founded in Japan, and while its headquarters is there, it has manufacturing facilities in many places, including China, Thailand, and Mexico. In 2018, the company entered into a joint venture with Toyota to create a factory in Huntsville, Alabama, and since it started producing Mazda CX-50 models in 2022, the location manufactures around 300,000 vehicles every year. The facility employs about 4,000 people, and this doesn’t include the various workers at the different vendors and suppliers it uses.
Are Any MAZDAs Made In the USA?
Currently, there are only two Mazda models made in the plant in Alabama. These are the Mazda CX-50 and Mazda CX-50 Hybrid.
